Burger Filling

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • Salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese
  • Optional: crispy bacon, pickles, or caramelized onions

Dough Wrapping

  • 1 tube chilled biscuit or pizza dough, cut into 8-12 circles and flattened

Garlic Parmesan Topping

  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Take a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until it’s browned. Drain off any excess fat, then season with salt, pepper, garlic & onion powder, and finally Worcestershire sauce. When the mixture is room temperature, stir in your shredded cheese until well combined. Make sure your filling is completely cooled before assembling, or the heat will make the dough difficult to work with.

Flatten a piece of dough into a 4 inch circle. Place 1-2 tablespoons of the burger filling at the center. Softly pinch the edges of the dough together like a dumpling to seal completely, then gently roll into a seamless ball.

Place the dough balls seam-side down on a parchment baking sheet, leaving a ball’s space between each. Mix your melted butter with minced garlic, and brush it over each roll. Lightly cover the tops with grated Parmesan cheese.

Preheat the oven to 375°F and bake for 15-18 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked throughout.

Remove them from the oven, and brush with remaining garlic butter. Decorate with fresh chopped parsley. These pair well with ranch, garlic aioli, or spicy mustard dipping sauces.
