• Fruit of 1 jackfruit (6 cups roughly)
  • Half of an white onion
  • 1 tbsp. of minced garlic
  • 1 tsp. of cumin
  • 1 tsp. of paprika
  • 1 tsp. of chipotle powder
  • 1 tsp. of chili powder
  • .5 tsp. of black pepper
  • .5 tsp. o kosher salt
  • 1 tsp. of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. of mustard
  • 1.5 cups of vegetable stock

Sweat your onions till they are translucent then add the jackfruit. Once it is all mixed and warm add the seasonings saving the Worcestershire sauce for second to last and the vegetable stock for absolute last. Once added and mixed cover and cook over low for 45 minutes.

After 45 minutes transfer the contents over to a foil lined baking sheet and cook in the oven at 350 degrees for an hour and a half.

Once out of the oven carefully remove it from the foil and place it into a bowl. You can add a small amount of barbecue sauce if you wish or eat as is on a bun with a pickle, melted cheese, cabbage  or some other garnishment.
