The Albums   Â
St. Louis, MO in the 10’s was a city looking to polish and grow. Partly by polishing up and building anew and partly by sweeping under and burring in a landfill. A city of turn of the century gardens, amazing food and growing grassroots music, art, beer & business but all the while with a dark side that will be heard and seen.
The time was 2012, the music was mashup, love songs & a new page. The clothing was tuckless shirts, yoga pants & blink and you will miss it return of grunge.
The themes of hope, fairness, growth out of nowhere, fair trade and anger were to be found everywhere. Love was in the air and hate rose from the grave.

The Life Album series was taken from a talk director Cameron Crowe had where he talked about his practice of collecting mixtapes from every year indexing songs that may have not been huge hits but had resonance for him personally or emotionally. I took that as a springboard and created albums based on the mood and times I lived in different cities.
