Welsh Beer Batter Fish & Tartar Sauce

Tartar Sauce

  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp parsley minced
  • 2 tbsp cornichons minced
  • 2 tbsp capers minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp malt vinegar
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • pinch of salt
  • pinch of pepper

Fish Batter

  • 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1tsp kosher salt
  • 1tsp baking powder
  • 1 1/2 cups of dark beer
  • 6 to 10 Cod fillet strips

Dredge the Cod fillets in the fish batter mix, fry for 6 minutes or until golden brown in a oil fryer. Squeeze a lemon wedge over the fried cods and serve with the tartar sauce blend.
